Alcohol permit delayed so restaurant makes best of it

When a paperwork glitch delayed Smokin Fins restaurant in Idaho Falls in getting its alcohol permit, the owners didn’t panic.  They turned the delay into a community event to support local efforts to prevent drunk driving.

The restaurant began 25 percent of its beverage sales to People Against Impaired Driving (PAID). The local nonprofit is dedicated to keeping the streets safe from all types of driving distractions.

Now that’s something we can drink (responsibly) to!
