That’s the idea behind Chef Ann Foundation’s Real Food Challenge during which chefs compete each year. The $1.25 budget is set based on USDA requirements that school foodservice directors must deal with every day.
Results from all the local competitions will show how a little creativity can make school lunches a little more exciting than the usual fare.
